Laxmi was found by a truck driver near the Nagpur highway — weak, limping, and clearly abandoned. Our rescue team reached her within the hour and brought her to the gaushala for treatment.
Months of care, good feed and veterinary attention later, Laxmi is the calmest resident of the shelter. The volunteers call her 'beti' — daughter. She responds to her name and follows the caretakers like family.
Every cow at our gaushalas has a name, a health card and a story. Supporting cow welfare means supporting this quiet, daily compassion.
“Every story is a promise kept.”
